Courtney Shanade Salter, also called Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed by the label's first female artist for Dreamville Records by J. Cole. On October 21, 2016 she debuted Pho, her debut EP for the Dreamville Records label. That was the day she first gained the attention of her peers. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album was released the 7th of May, 2019. Ari Lennox first released music online in 2012. She released her debut album Ariography and debut mixtape in 2013 the mixtape Five Finger Discount. In 2014 she continued to upload her music via the internet, including her self released single Bound. She was featured in Omen's Elephant Eyes, from Sweat It Out, on the 21st of July the 21st of July, 2015. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's remark. Later in the year, her music was circulating all over Dreamville. Then, in December of 2008 the news was made public that Rihanna had been hired with Dreamville Records. ...
